Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU)(formerly UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, vide Act Amendment No. 1156(2) LXXIX-V-1-15-1(Ka), 24-2015 dated Sept 9, 2015 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000. The Centre for Advanced Studies (An in-campus research driven Government institute of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow) requires Faculty members (On Contractual Basis with honorarium of Rs. 70000/- per month) for handling academic activities in following programs.

Faculty of Architecture & Planning (formerly known as GCA), Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow is looking for dedicated and qualified persons for Assistant Professor on a Contract basis (On Consolidated Salary) for the Institute.
Faculty will be engaged on a full-time basis for one Academic Year which may be extended up to three years on satisfactory performance and institute requirements. No claim for regular appointment shall be entertained by the Institute at any stage.

🎓 QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENT

Centre for Advanced Studies

Minimum eligibility is Ph.D. degree in a relevant branch of Science/Engineering, however, Ph.D. thesis submitted for the award may also be considered with a monthly honorarium of Rs. 45000/-.
The selection of candidates will be based on written examination followed by interviews of written qualified candidates.

A. Assistant Professor (Contractual) – Nanotechnology
(1) All candidates having B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in any branch of Engineering and Technology or any related field
OR
B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in any branch of Science like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Materials Science, Electronics or any related field relevant to the area of Nanotechnology with 1st Class or equivalent in B.Sc. and M.Sc. both
AND
Ph.D in relevant branch of Science/Engineering in the area/field relevant to Nanotechnology
(2) At least two papers should be SCI/ SCOPUS/ CiteSeerX/ DBLP indexed or published in journal of international repute
(3) Education degree(s) from any national/international institute/university of repute and standing
Note: Candidates who have done Ph.D. after the Bachelor’s Degree from institution of National importance with GATE shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

B. Assistant Professor (Contractual) – Energy Science and Technology
(1) All candidates having B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in any branch of Engineering and Technology or any related field
OR
B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in any branch of Science like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Materials Science, Electronics or any related field relevant to the area of Energy Science and Technology with 1st Class or equivalent in B.Sc. and M.Sc. both
AND
Ph.D in relevant branch of Science/Engineering in the area/field relevant to Energy Science and Technology

Master’s degree or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in relevant disciplines with First Class or equivalent in a concerned / relevant /allied subject of Industrial Design / Visual Communication /Fine Arts / Applied Arts / Architecture / Interaction Design / New Media Studies / Design Management / Ergonomics / Human Factors Engineering / Indian Craft Studies and related fields of Engineering or Design.

The appointment for Assistant Professor will be made on a contractual basis at a fixed salary of Rs. 50,000/- per month for candidates having Master’s degree and Rs. 55,000/- per month for candidates having Ph.D. degree
