Eligibility/Qualification–

Ph.D. (graduated or submitted Thesis) in any of the following or related branches: Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, and Material Science. The applicant should have expertise in developing the MCMC- based algorithms or applying them in their research projects. The applicant should be proficient in computer programming and should be experienced in performing simulations/calculations using high-performance computing (HPC) systems. Experience in developing applications for HPC systems is desirable. Finally, the applicant should be driven, enthusiastic about research, and willing to work for the duration of the contract.

Job/Position Description- 

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (Postdoctoral Fellow) in the research group of Kaustubh Rane at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) on a research project funded by the National Supercomputing Mission. The title of the project is “Developing an efficient algorithm for the Transition matrix Monte Carlo simulations of molecular systems in the generalized ensembles.”

Duration: 1 year (Extendable to additional 1 year)

Salary: ₹ 47,000 to 50,000 based on qualifications/experience
